Cebu City Tour

Travelling has always been a passion for me, but it's not every week or every month that I can get to explore different cities, towns, islands or anything alike because aside from the fact that I am one of those budget conscious traveler, I also have duties and responsibilities to attend to. And that is one of the reasons why I have posted this blog entry a little late. :)

Last December 2014, before I could get my last hurrah for that year, I got the chance to travel back in one of my dearly loved cities in the Philippines, the Queen City of South -- Cebu. This time, I have enjoyed and let myself sink in the grandeur of the city for three sweet days.

The trip's intention was to visit my loveydovey who happened to be reviewing in the city for the upcoming engineering board exam. They were already enjoying the holiday break and since I was stuck in my humble abode and basically doing nothing, I opted to go south of the country and savor the holidaze with him.

**By the way, both of us slept on different houses and did not wake up on each other's arms if you know what I mean haha**

I have been in this city for several times now and it still never fails to fascinate me. If there is one place in the country that I would like to see myself working aside from Bacolod, it would be this place. There's so many chill places to go to within the city and there are countless beautiful beaches and amazing mountains to marvel at in the other sides of Cebu. Well, I just wish extreme industrialization that entails heavy traffics will never get a hold in this city.

So much for my amusement, let's now see the little but priceless things that I did with my main man :)

When I had set my foot on the city, RJ came and fetched me. I was very much excited to see him that my eyes lit up and my body went all giddy the moment I laid my eyes on him. Hahaha. I'm pretty sure he felt the same thing too. Haha. Anyway, first on the list of our itinerary is Ayala Mall. Wow who would've thought this would be the first? Hahahaha! We had lunch at a Pepper Steak House managed by the fiance of my boyfie's cousin. Their sizzling beef? Superb!

There's this place that's very different from the usual cafes and I've seen this on Instagram when I was searching for some cozy places in Cebu city. I saw its good ratings, so we decided we had to give this cafe a try. It's called "Cafe Noriter". They offer different menus of coffee, tea, sandwiches etc and they provide big pillows that will make you lie down for hooooouuuurs! Such a comfy place, it is! The homy cozy ambiance of the cafe made it hard for us to leave. Oh well. Wait, there's also one cozy coffee shop in Cebu that offers you a wide variety of books to read! It's cafe talk ^_^

I wish Bacolod could have some coffee shops like this,

Afterwards, we went in Liloan (A town of some sort in Cebu) to celebrate the 18th Birthday of Rj's cousin, Lydel. We bought some pasalubongs from Titay's, home of original rosquillos and very yummy Otap!

You know what they say, your trip will never be complete if you won't hit Larsians and fill your tummy with their smokey barbecue! The best, can't wait to get back here!

Next up was the date we had in Paris. Lol jk. A date in La vie Parisienne. We haven't been on a date since he got in Cebu so I wanted to look more or less decent on our "First time since forever date". Hihi. So here I am striking a pose to let you see what I wore that day.

La Vie Parisienne is a french restaurant in cebu that serves wine, coffe, bread, cakes, pizza and more! The lighted cherry blossom caught my heart and ever since, I wanted to have a date with my langga in this place. Everywhere you turn in this place is blog worthy! Too bad we didn't get to take more pictures because of the fear that people might brand us both as "Manols" hahaha. One thing's missing in this resto though, I wish there was an Eiffel Tower anywhere near. :)

I just couldn't get enough of La Vie that we went back on the restaurant the next morning and this is the evidence. Hahaha.

**Now, this post is getting too long but I don't wanna separate this entry according to our trips.**

After an exhausting night, we headed to the Taoist Temple, not to meditate, but simply just to unwind and, well to be honest, take pictures. The temple is relatively high that you will see yourself catching your breath upon reaching its topmost level. Their garden was beautiful, the environment as a whole was clean and serenity was all over the place. Also, the good news is that, there is no entrance fee!!! Haha. The only hassle moment we had was getting a cab back to the city proper but overall, the experience was wonderful.

On our last night together in Cebu, we headed to see the beautiful city lights of the Queen of South.

We were just prepping up for the walk of our lives haha.

Third to the last was our death defying act of walking at the edge of the 37th floor of a building. I was literally petrified to even take a step further on the edge of the building! I even got a cold after that, hahaha. I was the one who fearlessly asked RJ to take this adventure but turned out to be the most coward in our group. Hahaha. Well at least I didn't let my fear hinder me from experiencing this, right? I take risks! Haha.

After that thrilling adventure, we went to eat some yummy and very affordable "Siomai sa Tisa"!

Lastly, we went out to see my girl cousins and I got the chance to jam with them at the Waterfront Hotel, Cebu City.

We ended our night with hugs, kisses, frappes and coffee!

What a glorious way to end the year indeed!

I will be back soon!

❤ Next target is Baguio and La Union,
(Hopefully)
